I want to preface this by explaining that I didn't intend for my final submission to be solely in 3D space, but I ran into many issues with my initial project. I realized it was far too much load for the time I had.
This is some of the work I scrapped

Due to the change in my project, I wanted to do something a bit more interesting, I wanted to use this project to work with anamorphic lenses.
Spherical lenses are widely used for their simplicity and cost-effectiveness, offering uniform sharpness and clarity but can cause distortion in wide-angle shots. Anamorphic lenses, on the other hand, are unique for capturing wider fields of view without vertical distortion, creating a distinctive cinematic look with oval bokeh and horizontal lens flares. While spherical lenses are a common choice in photography, anamorphic lenses are preferred in high-end cinematography for their ability to produce a widescreen format and unique visual characteristics.

I wanted to use references from movies and games I really liked. For this image below, I used the work from Tenet (The image above) to help me create these sci-fi scenes.
As described earlier, the camera in the program uses real world photography parameters. This is the final image below, using a 55mm focal length and a 1.8 anamorphic f-stop.
These renders below were set to an anamorphic 1.4 f-stop and an 100mm focal length. Notice the shape of the bokeh?
Then, I moved into the post-apocalypse, I had an interest in a game called S.T.A.L.K.E.R. A game where you roam the region of Chernobyl after the disaster.
This was made in the focal length of 85mm and the f-stop is a spherical 3.5
In the end, while I wish the project, I first thought of, worked out, this project helped me learned more about blur.
